After starring in one of the biggest TV shows of the past 20 years, The Big Bang Theory vet Kaley Cuoco is heading into (or over) uncharted waters with her new project, the darkly comedic HBO Max thriller The Flight Attendant. One of the best ways to ensure that audiences flock to the new streaming show is to bring in more familiar faces from other primetime hits, and The Flight Attendant has done just that by paging Grey's Anatomy favorite T.R. Knight to co-star in Season 1.

Sitcom queen Kaley Cuoco will welcome drama standout T.R. Knight onto The Flight Attendant as a loving member of the family. Specifically, Knight will portray the character Davey, who is the older brother of Cuoco's Cassandra "Cassie" Bowden. Well, I guess we'll actually have to wait and see just how loving that relationship really is.

It appears that Davey has made some judgment calls about Cassie in recent years. According to TVLine, he has "gently" disagreed with some of the decisions that his younger sister has made with her life, though it's not clear what he has issues with. However, it's also noted that Davey is continuously embittered by the fact that Cassie doesn't remembers their childhood in the same way he does. Sounds like there's some kind of complicated history happening there, which is a shame, since Cassie's life will get far more chaotic once the show kicks off.

The Flight Attendant's hectic story, as adapted from the novel by Chris Bohjalian, first sees Cassie waking up in a hotel room in Dubai, but her hangover definitely isn't her biggest problem. Far more distressing is the dead body that she wakes up next to. Unsure of what to do, Cassie tries to ignore the issue by not reporting it and going about her titular day job, but it isn't long before the authorities come to ask questions, and Cassie is forced to consider the idea that she might actually be a killer. Dun-dun-dunnn!

Perhaps "waking up next to a corpse" is one of those life choices that Davey doesn't approve of.

Amazingly, it has somehow been a full ten years since T.R. Knight vacated the role of Grey's Anatomy's Dr. George O'Malley and that's putting it extremely lightly but he's kept himself fairly busy in recent years. Following a few years away from the TV limelight, Knight landed recurring roles in The Good Wife, The Catch and 11.22.63 (where he was none too warm and friendly), and he landed a co-leading role in Season 2 of Nat Geo's Genius. He could also be heard this year voicing Cedric in the Hulu kids' show The Bravest Knight.

T.R. Knight's next big TV project, which has already been filming, is CBS Studios' limited series about former FBI head James Comey. That project, titled A Higher Loyalty, is expected to be released in 2020, with a network or streaming service yet to be announced.

On The Flight Attendant, T.R. Knight is joining a cast that already includes Kaley Cuoco (obviously), The Haunting of Hill House's Michiel Huisman, The Originals' Colin Woodell, Maniac's Sonoya Mizuno, Girls' Zosia Mamet, Birds of Prey's Rosie Perez and Greenleaf's Merle Dandridge. It was developed for TV by Cuoco herself, who is executive producing alongside the Arrow-verse mega-producer Greg Berlanti.

No specific premiere date is set just yet for The Flight Attendant, but considering HBO Max isn't expected to launch until May 2020, plan on waiting until at least then to see Kaley Cuoco and T.R. Knight paired off.
