Tufts, MetroWest Medical centers open primary care practice Tufts Medical Center, in partnership with MetroWest Medical Center, has opened an adult primary care practice in Framingham. Located at 85 Worcester Road (Rte. 9) next to Shoppers World, Tufts Medical Center Primary Care Framingham is comprised of three physicians of various age ranges, male and female, with diverse backgrounds and care interests. In addition to English, certain physicians are fluent in Hindi and Korean. The new practice provides patients with comprehensive primary care with individualized diagnosis and treatment plans. Its physicians also will work closely with a wide range of specialists at MetroWest Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center to assist patients who need to be referred or transferred for follow-up care. In addition, the practice offers same-day appointments, includes on-site blood-drawing services and features centralized digital medical records. Framingham's Samba supports local organizations Samba Steak & Sushi House and Samba West, both in Framingham, this week announced the "Samba Serves" program, created to support local charities, schools and nonprofits in MetroWest. As part of the program, Samba will give back 20 percent of customers food purchases to an accredited charity, school or NPO of the customers choosing. Customers will be asked to provide their name, the name their organization and their organizations tax ID number; all organizations will need to be approved by Samba prior to issuance of "Samba Serves" cards. Once approved, the customer will be issued the card with his or her organizations name on it. Every time the customer dines in or orders takeout from either Samba Steak & Sushi House or Samba West, Samba will give back 20 percent of whatever the customer spends (food purchase only) to the organization on the customers "Samba Serves" card.

Babson to host Rocket Pitch in Wellesley Ninety-six teams participate today, Oct. 31, in Babson Colleges 14th annual Rocket Pitch, where Babson undergraduate, graduate and alumni businesses will present their entrepreneurial ideas to an audience of entrepreneurs, investors, service providers, faculty and students. Armed with only three minutes of stage time and three PowerPoint slides, these entrepreneurs will have to succinctly communicate the uniqueness and necessity of their business ventures. The event takes place on the colleges Wellesley campus from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Stop & Shop to deliver 1,000 turkeys to food bank Stop & Shops Turkey Express trucks will deliver 1,000 turkeys to the Worcester County Food Bank in Shrewsbury on Nov. 1. The delivery is one of eight stops on Stop & Shops Turkey Express route throughout New England and 12 across the Northeast. This November, Stop & Shop will donate more than 21,000 turkeys to local food banks throughout the Northeast with its Turkey Express program. Deliveries will run through Thanksgiving.

Marlborough Chamber to hold Educational Showcase The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Educational Showcase and Networking Before Nine on Nov. 7 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Marlborough High School, 431 Bolton St., Marlborough. Representatives will be on site from Advanced Science and Math Academy Charter School, Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, Becker College, Hudson High School, Immaculate Conception School, Marlborough High School, Massachusetts International Academy and Qunsigamond Community College.
